{"id":13731,"date":"2016-06-07T11:57:16","date_gmt":"2016-06-07T11:57:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tesyouth.org\/t\/?p=13731"},"modified":"2023-07-11T15:17:55","modified_gmt":"2023-07-11T15:17:55","slug":"london-international-youth-science-forum-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tesyouth.org\/t\/london-international-youth-science-forum-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"London International Youth Science Forum 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LIYSF (London International Youth Science Forum) is a two week residential event &#8211; 27th July to 10th August &#8211; in London, which attracts over 500 of the world\u2019s leading young scientists aged 17-21 years old from more than 65 participating countries.<\/p>\n<p>Participants join in a programme of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lectures and demonstrations from leading scientists<\/li>\n<li>Seminars, debates and discussions on scientific topics of world concern<\/li>\n<li>Visits to industrial sites and research facilities<\/li>\n<li>Visits to academic research centres in London, Oxford and Cambridge<\/li>\n<li>Visits to the Science Museum and the Natural History Museum<\/li>\n<li>Opportunity to present project investigation work at our Science Bazaar<\/li>\n<li>Social activities, including discos, inter-hall competitions, a light-hearted international cabaret and an evening of Songs of Home.<\/li>\n<li>Optional sightseeing tours of London, Stonehenge and Salisbury, Windsor and Hampton Court<\/li>\n<li>Optional visits to some of the best shows in London theatres<\/li>\n<li>Accommodation is in London University Halls of Residence.
