{"id":3024,"date":"2015-02-18T11:23:04","date_gmt":"2015-02-18T11:23:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tesyouth.org\/t\/?p=3024"},"modified":"2023-07-11T15:22:14","modified_gmt":"2023-07-11T15:22:14","slug":"10-laws-of-teaching","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tesyouth.org\/t\/10-laws-of-teaching\/","title":{"rendered":"10 laws of teaching"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bertrand Russell&#8217;s ten laws of teaching:<br \/>\n<strong>1-<\/strong> Do not feel absolutely certain of anything.<br \/>\n<strong>2-<\/strong> Do not think it worthwhile to proceed by concealing evidence, for the evidence is sure to come to light.<br \/>\n<strong>3-<\/strong> Never try to discourage thinking for you are sure to succeed.<br \/>\n<strong>4-<\/strong> When you meet with opposition, even if it should be from your husband or your children, endeavor to overcome it by argument and not by authority, for a victory dependent upon authority is unreal and illusory.<br \/>\n<strong>5-<\/strong> Have no respect for the authority of others, for there are always contrary authorities to be found.<br \/>\n<strong>6-<\/strong> Do not use power to suppress opinions you think pernicious, for if you do the opinions will suppress you.<br \/>\n<strong>7-<\/strong> Do not fear to be eccentric in opinion, for every opinion now accepted was once eccentric.<br \/>\n<strong>8-<\/strong> Find more pleasure in intelligent dissent than in passive agreement, for, if you value intelligence as you should, the former implies a deeper agreement than the latter.<br \/>\n<strong>9-<\/strong> Be scrupulously truthful, even if the truth is inconvenient, for it is more inconvenient when you try to conceal it.<br \/>\n<strong>10-<\/strong> Do not feel envious of the happiness of those who live in a fool\u2019s paradise, for only a fool will think that it is happiness.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About Bertrand Russell<\/strong><br \/>\nBertrand Russell was a Nobel prize-winning, British, anti-war, analytical philosopher who lived from 1872 to 1970.
