TESYouth provides opportunities for young people and allows them to gain the experience they need to secure employment in the future. TESYouth, based in North London, seeks to empower young people by providing them with the skills and confidence needed to gain employment in the modern job market. They provide workshops and work experience for young people between the ages of 18-25.<\/p>\n

TESYouth also organises several workshops for students in their final year of studies at school, who are making decisions about their future career prospects.<\/p>\n

Recently a one day Enterprise workshop has taken place for the 6th form students in Winchmore School in Enfield, North London, providing expertise and skills needed in any new enterprise. The workshop was extremely successful as forty-five students attended throughout the day. They began by briefly introducing themselves, thus encouraging all participants to become involved in the process.
\nThe day consisted of one hour session workshops which demonstrated several varieties of business skills needed to start a successful enterprise. This includes important skills ranging from illustrating how to solve the difficult problems which may arise in the enterprise to working in a team efficiently and management of a team.
\n\"Enterprise Moreover, creativity and team work were actively encouraged in groups consisting of four to six people as they were tasked with specific projects. The students were encouraged to devise new ideas that may be developed into businesses. This allowed \u2018real world\u2019 problems to arise and the group had to find a solution, when arguments arose between members due to contesting ideas a compromise was negotiated.
\nThe allocation of different responsibilities to the students in the group allowed the participants to work together for a finished project while also allowing creative thinking by teaching participants to improvise in any given situation. It also gave the students a chance to exercise their problem solving skills. This process culminated in a completed task which was achieved by an amicable agreement between all members of the group.
\nThe aim of the Enterprise workshop was that the students should leave feeling confident that they can solve problems that arise from starting an enterprise if they wish to start one in the future.
\nMore importantly, enterprise workshops remain significant especially for students who are in their final year of education. This workshop provides an alternative to the conventional narrative of searching for work or going to university, particularly in the times of economic uncertainty when it is so difficult for young people to gain employment.
\nThis workshop provides an outlet for creativity so that anyone despite their financial background can aspire to start an enterprise.<\/p>\n
