Young people often lack experience, making them appear to be unsuitable candidates for roles. However, these people have valuable qualities and a unique way of tackling situations and should be considered for employment. In today\u2019s dynamic work environment, talent is just as important as experience.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5><strong>So why should you consider a candidate with less experience?<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Firstly, they may have other qualities to contribute to the company. Young people are often more enthusiastic to perform and excel, particularly if it is their first job. They may be prepared to work harder to achieve career progression and improve salary prospects than other more experienced candidates. Their enthusiasm will often motivate other employees in the company and enhance the working environment. They may also be more willing to listen and adapt to the work environment.\u00a0 Enthusiasm and flexibility can be just as important as experience.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Candidates who do not have experience will approach tasks differently. It can be the case that more experienced candidates come with different methods and ways of completing tasks that do not fit with the company. Those without experience will be flexible and open minded to try anything. This mind-set will inspire others to do the same and improve productivity. This positive attitude will help the team work better together and be more efficient.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>They may also have qualities such as problem solving or communication which are the basic skills most desired by companies. These soft skills may help to boost productivity in the company and make the team more efficient. These softer skills will compensate for more traditional experience employers seek in candidates. If more skills are required of the candidate, companies should consider providing upskilling and training opportunities included in programs such as JumpStart. By building on existing skills, they can fulfil the potential of their younger employees. These courses are widely available and affordable and in the long run will contribute to the profitability of the business.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Graduates of today who have completed a degree course often have experience of independent research, working to deadlines and managing their own workload. These skills can be utilized by employers in the workplace. Many roles require employees to balance priorities and manage their own workload.
