CommUNITY Barnet wanted to create a platform so that you could discuss issues that affect a wide range of client groups. The Chairs’ Forum debated topics and Christina Meacham of Mind in Barnet’s suggestion of poverty as an issue that affects almost everyone was unanimously passed as the central theme of our first network.
The Poverty in Barnet conference will give you the opportunity to hear from a range of experts, get data you can use when bidding for funding and meet people you could work with in the future. Just think, What could we do if we came together?
The conference will explore:
– How poverty affects your client group(s)
– What can we do to help, support and learn from each other
– Ways of tackling poverty
– How you can better represent your beneficiaries and raise funds in order to support them.
