Money is a constant worry for more than a third of young adults, research has revealed. Some 37% of 18-24 year olds worry about money all the time, while four in five (82%) say money stops them from doing their favourite hobbies and activities, according to the study by Audley Retirement.
The younger generation also take a pessimistic view of their future, the report found, with almost three quarters of 18-24 year olds (72%) predicting they will not be able to retire as early as they would like because of financial commitments.

Even more worryingly, one in seven (14%) said that they do not think they will ever be able to retire. The financial situation is more positive for over 55s, with only one in 8 (12%) identifying money as a constant worry. Read more
