Experience of an intern in TESYouth

Home/Be Positive, Internship, Join the conversation, News, Work Experience/Experience of an intern in TESYouth

intern in TESYouth My name is Nuha, I am 21 years of age and I recently graduated in psychology. As much as I loved going to university I was also very much looking forward to life after university. I was excited for the challenges and the opportunities that lie ahead. However unfortunately this feeling of excitement was short lived. I began feeling like a lost child in the big city, not knowing what to do or where to go. As each day went by I become more unsatisfied with my life. I found it hard to find a job due to the lack of experiences. No one was willing to give me a chance. With no job meant no money. No money meant that I cannot have what I want in my life; I will not be able to buy what I want.

Which also meant that I could not pursue my dream of creating documentary videos on different cultures. I became stuck, I was not moving forward with my life. Life was not going the way I expected. Every night when I would go to bed I would contemplate about my life and where I was heading. Despite the disappointments which I have faced so far, I was determined not to give up.

I carried on browsing online in search for jobs that will help me to acquire new skills. Whilst I was searching I came across an add by TESYouth. I read the description and what sort of service they had to offer. What caught my attention was the fact they were focusing on the young unemployed. This made me automatically think that this organisation could be beneficial to me. Alas, I finally began to feel like I was moving forward.

I have only worked few days at TESYouth and already I feel like I am beginning to progress. I am beginning to learn new things and I am 100% certain that as I continue with my work experience at TESYouth, the more I would develop as a person and the more I will learn. I feel very happy with my decision to carry out work experience at TESYouth and I am absolutely certain that this will be extremely beneficial to me. Even though working at TESYouth is a voluntary role I strongly believe that it will open many doors in the future for me.

I have come to learn that life does not always go the way you plan but whatever challenges you go through you must never give up on yourself.
