PC Technology – Level 3 Course
The PC Technology – Level 3 Online course is is ideal for students who know how to use computers but want to take that next step and learn more about the different components that make up a PC and maybe take their first steps into a career as a PC Technician. The course aims to give the student a good understanding of PC Hardware, the Windows Operating System as well as guidance on maintenance, networking and security issues.

A+ Certification Online Course
The CompTIA A+ Certification Online Course covers the latest 220-1001 & 220-1002 examination syllabus. CompTIA A+ Certification and is an ideal starting point for a career in IT as it covers the maintenance of PCs, mobile devices, laptops, operating systems and printers, validates an understanding of common hardware and software technologies, and is an industry standard certification for entry-level IT Technicians.
The CompTIA A+ 220-1001 course materials cover mobile devices, networking technology, hardware, virtualization and cloud computing and network troubleshooting.
CompTIA A+ 220-1002 course materials cover installing and configuring operating systems, expanded security, software troubleshooting and operational procedures.
The course includes a pre-assessment, 24 lessons covering both A+ exams, a post assessment, practice tests and additional MeasureUp test prep software. Online performance labs can also be purchased for £165.00 as an additional item when ordering this course.
On Completion of the A+ Certification Courses, you can apply for your internationally recognised A+ 220-1001 and 220-1002 Examinations.
There are no particular entry requirements for the home study courses but we advise that all students have a good general knowledge of using PCs, the Windows operating system and Windows-based software.
Course Duration & Support:
Students may register at any time and have a full year to complete the PC Technology Course. You also have access to a personal tutor by mail or email for the 12 month period. The A+ Certification course is a one-year license from when you activate your code and is designed as a self-study course, and email support is available when required. The license needs to be activated within 12 months of purchase. As the home study courses are self study you can complete in as little or as long a time as you prefer, and we do not impose a cut-off date for study.
The PC Technology Course is assessed through coursework which is detailed in the course materials. The A+ Certification assessment is through the A+ Certification 220-1001 and 220-1002 Examinations. Each examination is 90 minutes in length and has a maximum of 90 questions. The questions are set in a multiple choice (single and multiple response), drag and drop and performance-based format.
PC Technology – Level 3 Certification:
Open Awards successful completion of this course students will receive our PC Technology Diploma with comprehensive feedback, and providing the assignments have been completed to the required standard, students will also receive the Understanding PC Technology Level 3 Open Awards Quality Endorsed Unit Course Certificate with 8 Open Awards Credits.
Open Award Credits can be accumulated with other course or unit credits over a period of time which can lead to an accredited qualification.

A+ Certification Examinations:
CompTIA A CertificationOn completion of the A+ course, you can apply for the Internationally-Recognised CompTIA A+ 220-1001 and 220-1002 Examinations.
Examinations must be sat at a registered Pearson VUE testing centre and are currently £130.00 + VAT each.
