TESYouth is a not for profit organisation offering learning opportunities for young people. Additionally, they offer volunteering and internship programmes in Graphic Design, Videographer, Sales & Marketing or Digital Media. However, many young people miss out on volunteering and internship opportunities as they feel that these positions are unpaid and therefore not worth their time. Despite this, volunteering and internships can often have many benefits and these opportunities should be explored.
So why should you consider these programs?
Many young people have passions and interests but are unable to utilise them in today’s society. This is due to the fact that these more creative interests are not considered relevant to most employment roles. However, here at TESYouth, we provide young people with the chance to follow their passions while gaining experience. These opportunities will enable young people to practice their passions and develop their talents for future roles.
It also gives experience for future employment. Internships in these industries give young people the chance to gain invaluable experience in the relevant field. Some of these roles can be difficult to enter due to a large number of people with relevant qualifications. It is, therefore, all the more important to be able to offer an employer practical experience in the role which other applicants may not have. As a result, it will give them an advantage when applying for roles later on. Internships in the relevant field will make them more attractive to employers, with a unique experience to stand out from the crowd. These unique experiences will help young people achieve their full potential and ensure their chances of success.
These internship roles come with a range of tasks to challenge them and improve their abilities. It will provide them with opportunities to build on existing skills like problem-solving, communication and soft skills that are essential for the workplace. The roles may also include the potential for developing leadership skills and entrepreneurship which will help so that they can achieve their goals.
